Combination of Capacitor—

Capacitor are combined in two manner

1. Series Combination
2. Parallel combination

Series Combination of Capacitor—

When capacitors are arranged such that negative plate of one capacitor is connected to the positive plate of second one and the negative plate of second capacitor is connected to positive plate of third capacitor and so on, the arrangement is called series combination.

Redistribution of Charges—

Let us consider two isolated conductors of capacitances C₁ and C₂ carrying charges q₁ and q₂ respectively. Let V₁ and V₂ be their respective potential, then
